1 Corinthians

Paul wrote 1 Corinthians because the Corinthian congregation faced a series of problems, which included the danger of splintering into factions and even falling away from God. A host of additional problems plagued the Corinthians as well, so Paul sent his letter to provide clear advice.   (People’s Bible Commentary)
